Rome Colosseum (Colosseo) details and how to find it

Colosseum

Colosseum

The Colosseum is one of Rome's most famous landmarks - and for good reason: It is really impressive. It was once the home to many gladiator games, where many deaths (humans and animals) occured.

It had a maximum capacity of just over 85,000 spectators.

It was built in 80 AD, and in its famous 100 day inauguration around 2000 gladiators died (and 9000 animals).

Tickets to get inside are €12 (you can get tours for €5).
